API Coimbatore offers several merit-based and need-based scholarships to support students from diverse backgrounds. These scholarships aim to ensure that quality education remains accessible to all deserving candidates regardless of economic status.

MCM Scholarship

The MCM (Merit Cum Means) Scholarship is awarded to top-performing students based on academic performance and family income criteria. The scholarship covers up to 100% of tuition fees for eligible students.

• Income Limit: Family annual income below 4 lakhs
• Amount: Full tuition fee waiver

Merit Scholarship

This scholarship is given to students who rank in the top 10% of their class and demonstrate financial need. It covers 50% of tuition fees for the duration of the program.

• Eligibility: Top 10% rank in academic performance
• Income Limit: Family annual income below 6 lakhs
• Amount: 50% tuition fee coverage
• Application Process: Submission of academic records and income certificate

Need-Based Financial Aid

Students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds can apply for need-based financial aid, which includes partial or full fee waivers based on family income.

• Eligibility: Family annual income below 2 lakhs
• Amount: Varies between 25% to 100%

Alumni and Donor Scholarships

The institute has a strong alumni network that contributes significantly to student welfare through various donor scholarships. These scholarships are designed to recognize academic excellence, leadership potential, and community service.

Dr. R. Srinivasan Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded annually to students pursuing engineering in the field of electronics and communication. It covers full tuition fees and provides a monthly stipend of 5,000 INR for three years.

Shree V. Ramanathan Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship supports students from minority communities who excel academically. It covers 75% of tuition fees and includes a monthly allowance of 3,000 INR.

Ms. S. Priya Foundation Scholarship

Designed for female engineering students, this scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees and provides additional support for research projects and internships.

Mr. K. Natarajan Memorial Scholarship

This award recognizes outstanding performance in mechanical engineering. It covers full tuition fees and offers a one-time grant of 20,000 INR for project development.

Dr. P. Selvam Memorial Scholarship

For students excelling in computer science and artificial intelligence, this scholarship provides full tuition coverage and monthly stipend of 6,000 INR for four years.

Government and Corporate Scholarships

In addition to internal scholarships, API Coimbatore students are encouraged to apply for external funding opportunities provided by government bodies and corporate organizations.

Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme (PMSS)

This national-level scholarship is available to meritorious students from SC/ST/OBC categories. It provides financial support up to 20,000 INR per month for tuition, books, and other academic expenses.

Student Education Loan Scheme (SELS)

Offered by the Ministry of Education, this scheme allows students to access loans at low interest rates for higher education. Students can borrow up to 20 lakhs without collateral or guarantor.

ICICI Bank Scholarship

ICICI Bank offers scholarships to students from economically weaker sections who score above 80% in class 12th. The scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees for three years.

HSBC Education Loan

HSBC provides educational loans with flexible repayment options and low interest rates. Students can avail up to 40 lakhs for higher studies in India or abroad.

SBI Education Loan

The State Bank of India offers education loans with competitive interest rates and easy repayment terms. Eligible students can borrow up to 15 lakhs based on their course and fees structure.

Application Process for Scholarships

All scholarship applications must be submitted online through the institute portal. The process includes:

1. Fill out the application form with personal details and academic records
2. Upload required documents such as income certificate, mark sheets, and identification proof
3. Submit a brief statement explaining financial need or academic achievements
4. Attend an interview if shortlisted by the scholarship committee

The selection process is transparent and based on merit, need, and availability of funds. Students are notified via email within 30 days of submission.
