Detailed Narrative Explanation of Fee Components

Tuition Fee: Covers instruction costs for all core and elective courses. The fee is adjusted annually based on infrastructure development and faculty compensation.

Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in university-hosted dormitories with shared facilities like common rooms, laundry services, and internet access.

Mess Advance: A pre-paid amount covering meals for the semester. The mess billing system is transparent and allows adjustments based on actual consumption.

Student Benevolent Fund: A nominal contribution towards welfare initiatives supporting students in distress or special events.

Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services provided by the university's medical center, including consultations, diagnostics, and emergency care.

Gymkhana Fees: Supports sports activities, fitness equipment maintenance, and recreational programs organized by student clubs.

Examination Fees: Covers administrative costs associated with conducting end-of-semester exams, including question paper preparation, proctoring, and result processing.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The university offers multiple hostel room types to accommodate diverse preferences:

  • Semi-Deluxe Room (2-person): Rs. 45,000/year
  • Deluxe Room (1-person): Rs. 60,000/year
  • Standard Room (3-person): Rs. 35,000/year

The mess billing system operates on a monthly basis, with adjustments made based on consumption records. Students can opt for different meal plans and receive detailed bills at the end of each month.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Financial assistance is available to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds:

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: 100% waiver on tuition fee and hostel charges
  • EWS Category: 50% reduction in tuition fee
  • MCM (Minority Community Member): 30% discount on all fees

Eligibility criteria include parental income slabs:

  • Below Rs. 2 Lakh/year: Full waiver
  • Rs. 2 - 5 Lakh/year: Partial concession
  • Above Rs. 5 Lakh/year: No waiver

Students must submit supporting documents including income certificates, caste certificates (if applicable), and disability certificates (for PwD). The application process is handled through the university's official portal with a strict deadline for submission.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All payments must be made through net banking or credit/debit card transactions. Payment deadlines are strictly enforced:

  • First Installment: Due by 15th of July
  • Second Installment: Due by 15th of January

Late fees are charged at 5% per month on outstanding amounts. Refunds are processed upon withdrawal from the university:

  • Withdrawal within 30 days: Full refund minus processing charges
  • Withdrawal between 31-60 days: 75% refund
  • Withdrawal after 60 days: No refund

Refunds are credited back to the original payment account within 45 working days. Students must submit a formal withdrawal request along with supporting documents for processing.
