Fee Structure Overview

The total fee for the Computer Science program at Arunodaya University Papum Pare is structured over four years, with each semester having a detailed breakdown of charges. The following table outlines all components:

Detailed Fee Components

• Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, academic resources, and access to campus facilities. This fee is fixed and remains consistent across all semesters.
• Hostel Rent: Charged for accommodation in university hostels, which are fully furnished with basic amenities including beds, desks, wardrobes, and common areas.
• Mess Advance: A monthly advance payment towards food expenses at university messes. This amount is adjusted at the end of each month based on consumption.
• Student Benevolent Fund: A small annual contribution to support students facing financial hardships or emergencies.
• Medical Fees: Includes access to campus health services, basic medical consultations, and emergency care during academic sessions.
• Gymkhana Fees: Covers usage of gymnasium facilities, sports equipment, and participation in inter-college competitions.
• Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting end-term exams, practical assessments, and evaluation processes.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The mess billing system operates on a monthly basis, where students pay an advance amount for meals. The actual cost is calculated at the end of each month based on the number of meals consumed.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The university provides several financial aid options to deserving students:

• SC/ST/PwD Category: 100% fee waiver for all components except examination fees, which are reduced by 50%.
• EWS Category: 50% fee concession on tuition and hostel rent. Additional benefits include free mess advance and partial medical coverage.
• MCM (Minority Community Members): 25% fee discount on tuition and hostel rent, along with free access to gymnasium facilities.

Eligibility criteria are based on income slabs and official documentation. Students must submit relevant documents such as caste certificates, income certificates, or disability certificates during the application process.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All fees must be paid before the start of each semester. Late payments attract a penalty of 10% per month on outstanding dues. The university accepts payments through online banking, credit/debit cards, and NEFT/RTGS transfers.

If a student withdraws from the program, the refund policy applies as follows:

• Withdrawal within 15 days: Full refund minus processing charges of 5000 INR.
• Withdrawal between 16-30 days: 75% refund minus processing charges of 5000 INR.
• Withdrawal after 30 days: No refund is issued.

The university also provides financial assistance through scholarships and grants for meritorious students who demonstrate academic excellence or financial need. Applications for these benefits must be submitted annually by the last week of August.
