🎓 BHU Scholarships 2025 – Complete Guide

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) offers a wide variety of scholarships and financial aid schemes to ensure that students from all backgrounds have access to quality education. These scholarships support merit, financial need, physical ability, and academic achievement across undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and international categories.

🏅 Undergraduate Scholarships

1. Merit-Based Scholarships

• Top Rank Holders:
  First and second rank holders in their respective programs are awarded one-time scholarships of ₹4,000 and ₹3,000 respectively.

2. Need-Based Scholarships

• Economically Weaker Sections (EWS):

  • 100 students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds receive ₹2,000 per annum.

  • 50 students are eligible for free meals (lunch and dinner) for a minimum of 7 months under the Free Meal Facility.

3. Special Category Scholarships

• Blind Students:

  • Free lunch and dinner are provided under the Annadaan Yojana.

2. Seminar and Workshop Participation

• Students who organize academic seminars or workshops at the department level receive support of ₹5,000.

🧑‍🔬 Ph.D. Fellowships

While BHU itself does not provide university-funded Ph.D. scholarships, students can apply for external fellowships and research grants:

• UGC Fellowships:
  Offered to eligible Ph.D. scholars through the University Grants Commission.

• External Fellowships:
  Students may also qualify for financial support from CSIR, DST, DBT, and other government-funded research agencies.

🌐 International Student Scholarships

• BHU International Student Scholarship:
