The following companies regularly recruit our Welding graduates:
IT/Software: While not the primary sector for Welding graduates, some students opt for roles in software development or technical support related to welding automation tools. Companies like Microsoft, Google, and Infosys occasionally recruit for these positions.
Core Engineering: This is the most common sector for our graduates. Roles include welding engineer, process designer, quality assurance specialist, and project manager in construction, automotive, and manufacturing companies.
Finance: A small percentage of students transition into financial roles, particularly those interested in industrial finance or risk analysis within engineering firms.
Consulting: Some graduates work with consulting firms specializing in industrial operations, where they advise clients on welding standards and practices.
Analytics: With growing interest in data-driven decision making, a few students pursue analytics roles focusing on production efficiency or quality metrics in welding environments.
PSUs: Public sector undertakings like BHEL, SAIL, and ONGC offer stable career paths with competitive benefits and long-term growth opportunities.
The internship season begins in the second year of study and extends through the fourth year. Students are encouraged to secure internships in their preferred domains to gain practical experience and build professional networks.
Companies like Tata Steel, ONGC, and Mahindra & Mahindra offer summer internships ranging from 2 months to 6 months. Stipends typically range between Rs. 15,000/month and Rs. 30,000/month, depending on the company and role.
Internship processes involve application submissions, written tests, group discussions, and personal interviews. The university provides dedicated placement support to help students prepare for these rounds and improve their chances of securing placements.
