Fee Components Explanation

Each component of the fee structure serves a specific purpose in supporting the academic and residential experience of students:

  • Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, library access, and administrative support.
  • Hostel Rent: Provides accommodation facilities with shared amenities.
  • Mess Advance: Prepaid meal charges for the semester.
  • Student Benevolent Fund: Supports students in financial distress or emergencies.
  • Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services provided on campus.
  • Gymkhana Fees: Funds sports and recreational activities.
  • Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting examinations and grading.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The university offers multiple hostel options to accommodate students based on their preferences and budget constraints:

  • Single Occupancy Room: ₹45000/month
  • Double Occupancy Room: ₹35000/month
  • Triple Occupancy Room: ₹25000/month

The mess system operates on a monthly billing cycle with meals included in the advance fee. Students can opt for different meal plans based on dietary requirements and preferences.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Iimt University Meerut recognizes that financial constraints should not hinder academic excellence. Various forms of financial assistance are available:

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: 100% waiver on tuition fee and hostel charges with partial concession on mess advance.
  • EWS Category: 50% waiver on tuition fee and hostel charges with full concession on mess advance.
  • MCM (Meritorious Category): 25% discount on tuition fee and hostel charges based on performance in entrance examination.

Applications for financial aid must be submitted along with supporting documents within the first month of admission. The university reviews applications annually to ensure continued eligibility.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Students are required to complete payment before the start of each semester. Payment can be made through online banking, NEFT, or demand draft. Late payments incur a penalty of ₹500 per day beyond the deadline.

In case of withdrawal from the program, refund rules apply:

  • Withdrawal before 15th day: Full refund minus administrative charges of ₹2000.
  • Withdrawal between 16th and 30th day: 50% refund minus administrative charges of ₹2000.
  • Withdrawal after 30th day: No refund is provided.

The university also provides installment options for students who cannot afford full payment upfront. Approval is subject to academic performance and financial documentation.
