Overview of Scholarship Programs
IIC SAWER offers a wide range of scholarship programs to support students from all backgrounds. These scholarships are designed to reduce financial burdens and enable students to focus on their academic pursuits.
Institute-Wide Scholarships
- MCM Scholarship: Named after the late Mr. M. C. Mehta, this scholarship is awarded annually to meritorious students with a minimum aggregate score of 90% in Class XII.
- Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship: Supports students from economically disadvantaged families while recognizing academic excellence.
- Women Empowerment Scholarship: Dedicated to encouraging female students to pursue STEM fields.
Alumni and Donor Scholarships
IIC SAWER collaborates with its alumni network and donors to provide targeted scholarships:
- Rajiv Gandhi Foundation Scholarship: Offered to students from Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities.
- Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial Scholarship: For students excelling in science and technology with demonstrated leadership qualities.
- Global Education Trust Fund: Supports students planning to study abroad, covering tuition and living expenses.
External Scholarships
Students are encouraged to apply for external scholarships:
- UGC Merit Scholarships: Available to students pursuing higher studies in science and humanities.
- CSIR Research Fellowships: For students interested in research-oriented careers.
- Microsoft India Student Scholarship Program: Supports computer science students with a focus on innovation and entrepreneurship.
- Google India Scholarships: Designed for undergraduate students working on impactful projects in technology and social impact.
Application Process
To apply for any scholarship, students must:
- Fill Out Application Form: Available online through the college portal.
- Submit Required Documents: Academic transcripts, income certificates, and recommendation letters.
- Attend Interviews (if applicable): Selected candidates may be interviewed by a committee of faculty members.
- Receive Notification: Results are communicated via email and posted on the college notice board.
