Institute-Wide Scholarships
ISBA provides several merit-based scholarships that reward outstanding performance in academics, extracurricular activities, and leadership roles:
- MCM Scholarship: Awarded to top-performing students in the first year based on entrance exam scores. The scholarship covers up to 100% of tuition fees for four years.
- Dean's Excellence Award: Recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and active participation in campus life. Recipients receive a cash prize of INR 2,00,000 annually.
- Global Leader Initiative (GLI): A leadership scholarship for students demonstrating potential to become global business leaders. This award includes mentorship from alumni and internship opportunities with multinational corporations.
- Entrepreneurship Excellence Scholarship: Supports students pursuing entrepreneurial ventures through seed funding and access to incubation centers.
Alumni & Donor Scholarships
The school maintains strong connections with its alumni base, many of whom contribute to scholarship funds aimed at supporting current students. These donor-driven scholarships often come with specific criteria related to academic performance, community involvement, or career goals:
- Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Scholarship: Established by the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, this scholarship supports meritorious students from low-income families. It covers full tuition fees and provides a monthly stipend of INR 10,000.
- Indira Gandhi Memorial Scholarship: Named after India's former Prime Minister, this award is given to students who have excelled academically and demonstrated social service activities. The scholarship includes full coverage of fees and living expenses for three years.
- Bharat Ratna Foundation Scholarship: Funded by the Bharat Ratna Foundation, it supports students with exceptional leadership potential in business and entrepreneurship.
- Shiv Nadar Memorial Scholarship: This award is provided to students from underprivileged backgrounds who show promise in business innovation. It includes full tuition coverage and mentorship opportunities.
- Narayana Murthy Excellence Award: Named after the founder of Infosys, this scholarship supports students aiming to enter the technology sector with a focus on innovation and scalability.
Government & Corporate Scholarships
ISBA students also have access to scholarships funded by government agencies and corporate sponsors that align with national priorities and industry needs:
- Prime Minister's Scholarship for Higher Education (PM-SHE): Provided by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, this scholarship offers financial assistance to meritorious students from economically weaker sections.
- Bank of India Scholarships: Offered in collaboration with Bank of India, these scholarships support students pursuing degrees in management and finance. Recipients receive a monthly allowance of INR 15,000 for three years.
- HDFC Bank Merit Scholarship: HDFC Bank provides this scholarship to top-performing students from rural areas. The award includes tuition assistance and a one-time grant of INR 50,000.
- ICICI Bank Student Excellence Award: This scholarship targets students with outstanding academic records and leadership experience. It offers full tuition coverage along with access to career development workshops.
- Wipro Scholars Program: Wipro partners with ISBA to offer scholarships to students excelling in technology-related fields. The program includes internships at Wipro offices and personalized mentoring.
Application Process
All scholarship applications must be submitted through the official portal of ISBA. The process involves filling out an online form, uploading necessary documents (academic transcripts, income certificates, and recommendation letters), and participating in a short interview with faculty members or alumni representatives.
Eligibility criteria vary depending on the type of scholarship, but generally include:
- A minimum aggregate score of 80% in Class XII or equivalent examination
- Proof of financial need (for need-based scholarships)
- Participation in extracurricular activities and community service
- Strong letters of recommendation from teachers or mentors
- Demonstrated leadership skills and initiative
Selection committees evaluate applications based on academic merit, financial need, personal statement, and overall fit with the values of the school. Shortlisted candidates are invited for interviews where they discuss their goals, motivations, and how they plan to contribute to society after graduation.
