Fee Components Explained

Tuition Fee (₹60,000): Covers instruction, curriculum development, laboratory facilities, and academic resources. This fee includes access to digital libraries, research databases, and online learning platforms.

Hostel Rent (₹25,000): Provides accommodation for students in well-maintained hostel buildings with amenities such as Wi-Fi, laundry services, and 24/7 security.

Mess Advance (₹15,000): Covers meal expenses for the entire semester. The mess operates on a monthly billing cycle with discounts available for students staying in hostels for full months.

Student Benevolent Fund (₹2,000): A fund used to support students facing financial difficulties or emergencies during their studies. Applications can be submitted through the student portal.

Medical Fees (₹1,000): Includes access to on-campus medical services and health check-ups conducted by qualified doctors.

Gymkhana Fees (₹500): Supports campus recreational activities and sports events. Students receive discounts on gym memberships and participation in extracurricular programs.

Examination Fees (₹3,000): Covers the cost of conducting semester-end examinations, including question paper preparation, invigilation, and result processing.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel facilities at M DIT Polytechnic College are designed to provide a comfortable living environment for students. Hostels offer various room types:

  • Single Occupancy Room (SOS): ₹20,000 per semester
  • Double Occupancy Room (DOS): ₹25,000 per semester
  • Triple Occupancy Room (TOS): ₹30,000 per semester

Mess charges vary based on the room type and meal plan selected:

  • Standard Plan: ₹15,000 per semester (includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
  • Premium Plan: ₹20,000 per semester (includes premium meals with additional options)

Rebate policies are available for students who stay in hostels for full months. Full attendance is required to receive rebates.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

M DIT Polytechnic College offers several financial assistance schemes to eligible students:

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: 100% waiver on tuition fee and hostel rent for students belonging to SC/ST or PwD categories. Additional concessions may apply based on income slabs.
  • EWS Category: 50% reduction in tuition fee and full concession on hostel rent for EWS category students with an annual income below ₹12 lakh.
  • MCM (Minority Community Member): 30% waiver on tuition fee and partial concession on hostel rent for MCM students.

Eligibility criteria are verified through documentation such as caste certificates, income certificates, disability certificates, and proof of residence. Applications must be submitted within the first week of admission.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Fees can be paid online via net banking, credit/debit cards, or NEFT/RTGS transfers. Payment deadlines are strictly enforced to avoid late fees:

  • Late Fee: ₹500 per day for late payments beyond the due date.

Refunds are processed according to the following rules:

  • Withdrawal within 15 days: Full refund minus administrative charges of ₹1000.
  • Withdrawal after 15 days: 80% refund minus administrative charges.

Refunds are credited to the student's bank account within 30 working days of submission of withdrawal forms and supporting documents.
