Detailed Narrative Explanation of Fee Components

Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, laboratory access, and administrative costs associated with academic programs. This fee includes access to digital resources, library services, and faculty mentorship.

Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in campus hostels with basic amenities such as bed, table, chair, and internet connectivity. The rent varies by room type (single, double, triple sharing).

Mess Advance: A prepayment for food services during the semester, which is adjusted at the end of the term based on actual consumption.

Student Benevolent Fund: Supports students facing financial hardships through emergency assistance and scholarship funds.

Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services provided by the university hospital and access to medical consultations.

Gymkhana Fees: Provides access to sports facilities, fitness programs, and recreational activities on campus.

Examination Fees: Includes costs for conducting exams, evaluating papers, and issuing certificates.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The university offers three types of hostel rooms:

  • Single Sharing: INR 25000/month (includes all amenities)
  • Double Sharing: INR 18000/month (shared bathroom and common area)
  • Triple Sharing: INR 15000/month (shared bathroom and common area)

The mess billing system operates on a monthly advance basis. Students pay an initial amount and receive meals according to their consumption, with adjustments made at the end of each month.

Rebate policies are available for students who do not use hostel facilities during specific periods such as internships or semester breaks.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Financial aid is available to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds:

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: Full fee waiver for tuition and hostel charges
  • EWS Category: 50% concession on tuition and hostel fees
  • MCM (Migrant Community Member): 30% concession on tuition and hostel fees

Eligibility is determined based on income slabs provided by the government. Applications must be submitted with supporting documents such as caste certificates, income proofs, and family details.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payments are to be made online via net banking or debit/credit cards. The deadline for fee payment is the first week of each semester.

Late fees are charged at 1% per month on outstanding amounts beyond the due date.

In case of withdrawal, the refund policy is as follows:

  • Withdrawal before 30 days: Full refund minus processing charges
  • Withdrawal between 30-60 days: 50% refund
  • Withdrawal after 60 days: No refund
