Fees

The fee structure for the Biotechnology program at Rama University Kanpur is designed to be transparent and affordable. The fees are divided into semester-wise payments, with additional charges for hostel and mess facilities.

The total annual fee for the program is 147,000 INR, with tuition fees being the largest component. The remaining fees are for additional services and facilities provided by the university.

The hostel charges vary based on the room type. Single occupancy rooms cost 25,000 INR per semester, while double occupancy rooms cost 15,000 INR per semester. The mess billing system includes daily meals, with charges based on the number of meals consumed. Rebate policies are available for students who maintain a certain attendance rate in the mess.

Fee waivers and concessions are available for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The eligibility criteria include income slabs, with concessions provided for families with an annual income below 2 lakh INR. Students must submit the required documents to the finance office to apply for fee waivers.

Scholarships are also available for meritorious students based on their academic performance and extracurricular activities. The application process for scholarships is conducted annually, with students required to submit their academic transcripts and other relevant documents.

The payment procedures for fees are conducted through online banking and NEFT transfers. Students must ensure that payments are made before the deadline to avoid late fees. The refund policy is clearly defined, with refunds processed for students who withdraw from the program before the start of the semester.

For students who are unable to pay the full fee, installment plans are available. These plans allow students to pay the fees in monthly installments, with a nominal interest charge. The installment plan is subject to approval by the finance office and requires a valid reason for the request.
