Institute-Wide Scholarships
RSAT offers several institute-wide scholarships to recognize academic excellence and provide financial assistance to students who demonstrate merit and need:
- MCM Scholarship: Awarded annually to top 5% of students based on academic performance. Covers full tuition fees plus a monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000.
- Premium Excellence Award: Granted to students scoring above 90% in their final year examination. Provides Rs. 1,00,000 as one-time financial assistance.
- Need-Based Assistance: Available for students from economically weaker sections of society. Covers up to 80% of tuition and hostel charges.
- Research Grant Program: Supports students pursuing independent research projects with a stipend of Rs. 3,000/month for 6 months.
Donor/Alumni Scholarships
Several alumni and donors have established scholarship funds specifically for architecture students at RSAT. These include:
- Dr. R. Sivakumar Memorial Scholarship: Established by a prominent alumnus, this award supports financially disadvantaged students with Rs. 50,000 annually.
- Architectural Excellence Fund: Funded by alumni who are successful architects, this scholarship provides Rs. 75,000 to students excelling in design competitions and innovation projects.
- Sustainable Design Fellowship: Supported by environmental advocates, this fellowship offers Rs. 1,00,000 for students researching sustainable architecture practices.
- Urban Planning Excellence Award: Given to students working on community development initiatives, with funding of Rs. 60,000 per year.

External Government Scholarships

- National Scholarship Portal (NSP): Offers scholarships for students from SC/ST/OBC categories, with amounts ranging from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 1,20,000/year depending on category.
- Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE): Provides support for students pursuing postgraduate degrees, covering up to Rs. 2,00,000/year for meritorious candidates.
- Post-Matric Scholarship: Available for SC/ST students studying in Class 11 and 12, offering Rs. 1,500/month for three years.

- Infosys Foundation: Supports students involved in architectural innovation and design thinking, offering Rs. 60,000/year for up to 3 years.
- Microsoft Research Grant: Provides funding for students researching AI applications in architecture, covering Rs. 80,000/year for 2 years.
- Google India Fellowship: Supports students working on architectural visualization and virtual reality projects with Rs. 1,20,000/year for 2 years.
Application Process
The application process for scholarships is straightforward and includes the following steps:
- Students must fill out an online application form on the RSAT website.
- All necessary documents including mark sheets, income certificates, and proof of identity must be uploaded.
- Applications are reviewed by a committee comprising faculty members and alumni representatives.
- Selected candidates are notified via email and official letters.
- Final verification is conducted before disbursal of funds.
Renewal Criteria
Scholarships are typically renewed annually based on performance:
- Academic progress must be maintained at a minimum of 75% marks.
- Active participation in extracurricular activities and community service is encouraged.
- Research projects or design competitions related to architecture may enhance renewal chances.
