Institute-Wide Scholarships
Veena Vadini College of Management offers several merit-based and need-based scholarships to support deserving students:
- Merit Scholarship: Awarded to top 10% of students based on academic performance. Amount: ₹50,000 per semester.
- Need-Based Scholarship: Available for economically disadvantaged students. Amount: ₹30,000 per semester.
- Management Excellence Award: Recognizes outstanding performance in management-related activities. Amount: ₹75,000 per year.
- Global Leadership Program Grant: Supports participation in international exchange programs. Amount: Up to ₹1,00,000 per student.
Alumni Scholarships
The college has established several alumni-driven scholarship funds:
- MCM Excellence Scholarship: Funded by the MCM Alumni Association. Amount: ₹40,000 per semester for top 5 students.
- Leadership Legacy Fund: Supports leadership development initiatives. Amount: ₹35,000 annually.
- Entrepreneurship Support Grant: For students planning to start their own ventures. Amount: Up to ₹1,50,000 for startup projects.
- Research & Innovation Award: Recognizes excellence in research and innovation. Amount: ₹60,000 per year.
Government and Corporate Scholarships
Students are encouraged to apply for external scholarships that can be used to supplement their financial needs:
- PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana): Provides training and certification for skill development. Students receive up to ₹50,000 per course.
- UGC Merit Scholarship: Available for students from SC/ST/OBC categories. Amount: ₹12,000 per semester.
- Scholarship for Women in STEM: Offered by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Amount: ₹1,50,000 for full-time courses.
- Infosys Foundation Scholarship: For students from economically backward families. Amount: ₹2,00,000 per year.
- Microsoft India Student Scholarship: For students pursuing computer science or related fields. Amount: ₹1,00,000 annually.
Application Process
To apply for any scholarship, students must submit the following documents:
- Certificate of income (for need-based scholarships)
- Academic transcripts
- Statement of purpose or research proposal
- Recommendation letters from faculty members
- Proof of residence or identity
The application process begins in January each year, with a deadline of February 15th. Applications are reviewed by the Scholarship Committee based on merit and financial need.
