Fee Structure Explanation
Tuition Fee: Covers the cost of instruction, laboratory access, library resources, and administrative services. It is divided into two installments per semester.
Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in single or double occupancy rooms with basic amenities like bed, study table, chair, wardrobes, and internet connectivity.
Mess Advance: Covers meal expenses for the entire semester. The mess billing system operates on a monthly basis with adjustments based on attendance.
Student Benevolent Fund: A voluntary contribution towards student welfare activities and support programs.
Medical Fees: Covers medical consultations, treatments, and emergency healthcare services within the campus.
Gymkhana Fees: Supports sports and recreational activities including gym access, fitness classes, and club events.
Examination Fees: Includes costs related to conducting semester examinations, evaluation, and result processing.
Hostel & Mess Charges
Abes Engineering College offers three types of hostels: Single occupancy (INR 30,000/month), Double occupancy (INR 25,000/month), and Triple occupancy (INR 20,000/month). Each room is equipped with essential furniture and high-speed internet.
The mess operates on a monthly billing system where students pay in advance. The menu includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, catering to diverse dietary preferences including vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and special diets for students with allergies or restrictions.
Rebate policies are available for students who do not use the hostel facilities during specific periods such as summer vacations or semester breaks. Rebates can be partial or full depending on usage.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
Students belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories are eligible for fee waivers up to 50% of the total fees. The income slab criteria for EWS beneficiaries is below INR 2 lakhs per annum.
MCM (Minority Community Members) students receive concessions on tuition fees and hostel charges. Applications for these benefits must be submitted along with supporting documents like caste certificates, income proofs, and migration certificates.
Merit-based scholarships are awarded to top-performing students in each semester based on academic performance and extracurricular achievements. These scholarships range from 10% to 100% of tuition fees.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
All fees must be paid within the specified deadline of 15 days after the commencement of each semester. Late payments incur a penalty of 2% per month on the outstanding amount.
Refunds are processed in case of withdrawal from the college, subject to certain conditions. Students must submit an application form with valid reasons and supporting documents. The refund is typically credited back within 30 working days.
