The total fee for the B.Tech Mechanical Engineering program at Adamas University Kolkata is designed to provide comprehensive value through quality education, infrastructure, and support services. The fee structure includes various components broken down per semester:

Fee Component Explanation

Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, laboratory sessions, and course materials. It is charged per semester and remains consistent throughout the program.

Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in university-hosted dormitories with shared facilities like common rooms, laundry, internet, and security services.

Mess Advance: Prepaid monthly mess charges for meals provided by the university’s catering services.

Student Benevolent Fund: A nominal fee collected to support students facing financial hardships or emergencies.

Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services available on campus including consultations, medicines, and emergency care.

Gymkhana Fees: Supports recreational activities and sports facilities accessible to all students.

Hostel & Mess Charges

• Single Occupancy Room: Private cabin with attached bathroom and Wi-Fi access (INR 60,000/year)
• Double Occupancy Room: Shared cabin with two students, shared bathroom, and common facilities (INR 55,000/year)
• Triple Occupancy Room: Shared cabin for three students, shared bathroom, and basic amenities (INR 50,000/year)

The mess billing system operates on a monthly cycle where students pay in advance. Rebate policies are available for students who stay during holidays or take leaves.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

We offer financial assistance to deserving students through various scholarship programs:

• SC/ST/PwD Category: Full waiver of tuition fee and hostel rent for eligible students with valid certificates.
• EWS Category: Partial waiver of tuition fee (up to 50%) and full waiver of hostel rent.
• MCM (Minority Community Members): Waiver of examination fees and partial hostel rent.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All payments must be made via online transfer or NEFT to the university's designated account. Payment deadlines are clearly communicated at the beginning of each semester.

Late fees are calculated as 2% per month on outstanding dues, with a maximum cap of INR 5000 per semester.

Refund policy applies if a student withdraws from the program before the start of the semester. Refunds are processed within 30 days after submission of required documents and approval from administrative authorities.
