Hostel & Mess Charges
Alard University Pune offers a range of hostel options to accommodate students' varying needs and preferences. Hostel rooms are categorized into different types based on facilities and space:
- Single Occupancy Room: ₹1,50,000 per semester
- Double Occupancy Room: ₹1,20,000 per semester
- Triple Occupancy Room: ₹90,000 per semester
The mess billing system is designed to be simple and transparent. Students are required to pay an advance for the entire semester, which is then adjusted based on actual consumption. The university provides a detailed monthly bill that breaks down expenses by meal type and quantity consumed.
Rebate policies are available for students who do not consume meals regularly or miss multiple days due to illness or travel. These rebates can be applied for after submitting relevant documentation to the hostel administration office.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
The university offers several fee waivers, concessions, and scholarships to support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds:
- SC/ST/PwD Category: 100% waiver on tuition fee and 50% concession on hostel rent for eligible candidates.
- EWS Category: 50% waiver on tuition fee and 30% concession on hostel rent for eligible candidates.
- MCM (Minority Community Members): 25% waiver on tuition fee and 20% concession on hostel rent for eligible candidates.
Eligibility criteria for these benefits are based on income slabs, which vary depending on the category. Students must submit relevant documents such as caste certificates, income certificates, and disability certificates to apply for these concessions.
Additionally, the university provides merit-based scholarships for top-performing students. These scholarships range from 25% to 100% of tuition fees, depending on academic performance and extracurricular achievements.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
Payments for fees are made through online banking or NEFT/RTGS transfers to the university's designated account. Students must complete payment within the specified deadline to avoid late fees.
Late fees are calculated at 1% per month on outstanding balances, with a maximum cap of ₹5,000 per semester. Students who fail to pay fees on time may face restrictions on attendance and examination eligibility.
The refund policy is applicable in cases where students withdraw from the university or transfer to another institution. Refunds are processed within 60 days of submission of withdrawal documents, subject to deductions for any unpaid dues.
Students can also request partial refunds for unused portions of hostel rent or mess advance if they leave campus early due to unforeseen circumstances. Such requests must be submitted with supporting documentation and reviewed by the finance department.
