Institute-Wide Scholarships
AIU Imphal West offers several institute-wide scholarships to reward academic excellence and encourage student participation in extracurricular activities.
MCM Scholarship (Merit Cum Means)
This scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance combined with financial need. The award amount ranges from 20% to 100% of tuition fees, depending on the student's eligibility.
Dean’s Award for Excellence
Given annually to top-performing students in each department, this award provides a cash prize of INR 50,000 and recognition at university events.
University Merit Scholarship
This scholarship is available for students scoring above 90% in their qualifying examinations. The award covers up to 50% of tuition fees and includes mentorship opportunities.
Alumni & Donor Scholarships
A number of alumni and donor scholarships are specifically designed to support students from underprivileged backgrounds or those excelling in specific fields.
Dr. Rameshwar Prasad Sharma Memorial Scholarship
Named after a distinguished faculty member, this scholarship supports students pursuing engineering degrees with an emphasis on innovation and research. The award amount is INR 100,000 annually for four years.
Sunita Devi Excellence Award
This scholarship recognizes outstanding performance in electrical engineering and renewable energy projects. Students who have demonstrated leadership in sustainability initiatives are eligible.
Praveen Kumar Singh Foundation Scholarship
Established by a prominent alumnus, this award supports students interested in robotics and automation. It includes a cash prize of INR 75,000 and internship opportunities with leading tech firms.
Anjali Patel Memorial Award
This scholarship targets students excelling in civil engineering and sustainable construction practices. The award provides INR 60,000 per year for three years.
Rajesh Kumar Mehta Innovation Fund
Designed for students working on innovative projects in biotechnology, this fund offers up to INR 150,000 over two years for research and development activities.
