Fee Component Explanation
Tuition Fee: Covers the cost of instruction, access to libraries, laboratories, and other academic resources provided by the university. This fee is fixed for the entire duration of the program.
Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in campus-hosted dormitories. Rent varies based on room type (single, double, triple sharing) and includes utilities like electricity and water supply.
Mess Advance: A prepayment for meals provided by the university cafeteria. This advance is adjusted monthly against actual consumption.
Student Benevolent Fund: A nominal fee collected to support students facing financial difficulties or emergencies.
Medical Fees: Covers basic medical services, including consultations and medications, at the campus health center.
Gymkhana Fees: Supports extracurricular activities, sports facilities, and student clubs operating on campus.
Examination Fees: Covers administrative costs associated with conducting internal and external examinations.
Hostel & Mess Charges
The hostel facility offers various room types to accommodate students based on their preferences and financial capacity. Single rooms are available for ₹40,000 per semester, while shared rooms (double/triple) cost ₹35,000.
Mess charges include breakfast, lunch, and dinner for all residents. The billing system operates monthly, with advances paid at the beginning of each month. Rebates are provided to students who do not consume meals regularly or in case of illness, subject to medical certificates.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
We offer several forms of financial assistance to deserving students:
- SC/ST/PwD Category: Students belonging to these categories receive a 100% waiver on tuition fees and a 50% reduction in hostel rent.
- EWS Category: A 50% concession on tuition fee and full waiver on hostel rent.
- MCM (Minority Community): 25% discount on tuition fee and partial waiver on hostel charges.
Eligibility for these concessions is determined based on income slabs and supporting documentation. Applications must be submitted during the admission process or within the first month of the academic year.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
All fees must be paid through online banking, NEFT/RTGS, or demand draft in favor of Balwant Singh Mukhiya Bsm College Of Engineering. Payments are due by the specified deadlines to avoid late fees and penalties.
Late fees are calculated at 2% per month on outstanding balances beyond the deadline. Refunds are processed only upon official withdrawal requests and must be approved by the finance department. Withdrawal rules stipulate that refunds are issued within 30 days of approval, subject to deductions for administrative charges and unpaid dues.
