Birla Institute Of Applied Sciences offers modern, comfortable hostels for students. The hostel facilities include single occupancy rooms, shared bathrooms, common study areas, and 24/7 security services.
The mess billing system is based on a prepayment model where students pay a fixed amount at the beginning of each semester. Meals are served daily, and any excess or deficit is adjusted accordingly at the end of the semester.
Students can avail rebates for various reasons such as attending special events, participating in competitions, or being absent due to valid medical reasons. Rebates are calculated based on the duration of absence and the applicable rate per day.
The institute offers several financial assistance programs for deserving students:
Scholarships are available for students scoring above a certain threshold in qualifying examinations. These scholarships range from INR 50,000 to INR 1,00,000 per year and are awarded based on merit and financial need.
Payments must be made within the specified deadlines to avoid late fees and penalties. The institute accepts payments through online banking, credit/debit cards, and NEFT/RTGS transfers.
A late fee of INR 500 per day is charged for delayed payments beyond the due date. For amounts exceeding INR 10,000, an additional penalty of 2% per month may be applied.
If a student withdraws from the program, a refund of the remaining balance will be processed after deducting administrative charges and any applicable penalties. Refunds are issued within 30 working days of receiving the withdrawal request.
