Detailed Fee Components

Each component of the fee structure serves a specific purpose in ensuring quality education and student welfare:

Tuition Fee

The tuition fee covers instruction, library access, laboratory usage, and administrative costs. It is designed to provide comprehensive educational support throughout the academic year.

Hostel Rent

Accommodation charges are levied for hostel stays on campus. The fees vary based on room type, with single occupancy rooms being more expensive than shared accommodations.

Mess Advance

The mess advance covers food expenses and is adjusted at the end of each semester. Students are required to pay an advance amount that reflects estimated monthly food costs.

Student Benevolent Fund

This fund supports students facing financial hardships or emergencies, ensuring they can continue their education without disruption.

Medical Fees

Medical fees cover basic healthcare services provided on campus and access to medical facilities during the academic year.

Gymkhana Fees

Gymkhana fees contribute to maintaining recreational facilities such as gyms, sports complexes, and cultural centers.

Examination Fees

These fees cover the cost of conducting examinations, including question paper preparation, invigilation, and result processing.

Hostel & Mess Charges

Brd College offers various hostel options to accommodate students with different preferences and budgets:

  • Single Room: INR 60,000 per semester
  • Double Room: INR 45,000 per semester
  • Triple Room: INR 30,000 per semester

The mess billing system operates on a monthly basis. Students are required to pay an advance amount that covers expected expenses for the month. The final bill is adjusted based on actual consumption.

Rebate policies allow students who do not consume meals regularly to receive partial refunds. These policies ensure fairness and transparency in billing practices.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Brd College offers several financial assistance schemes for deserving students:

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: 100% waiver on tuition fee
  • EWS Category: 50% waiver on tuition fee
  • MCM (Minority Community Member): 25% waiver on tuition fee

Eligibility criteria for these schemes are based on income slabs and category certificates. Students must submit relevant documents during the application process to avail of these benefits.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payments can be made online via net banking, credit/debit cards, or through bank transfers. Late payments attract a penalty of INR 500 per day until the due date is met.

The refund policy applies to students who withdraw from the program before completion. Refunds are processed within 30 days after submission of the withdrawal form and supporting documents.

Students are advised to keep copies of all transactions for future reference. The finance office maintains detailed records of all payments and refunds for audit purposes.
