Hostel & Mess Charges

- Single Occupancy Room: ₹60,000 per semester (includes air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and personal safety features)
- Double Occupancy Room: ₹50,000 per semester
- Triple Occupancy Room: ₹40,000 per semester
Mess charges are billed monthly based on actual consumption and vary by hostel type. For single rooms, the average monthly mess bill is approximately ₹12,000, while for triple rooms it is around ₹8,000.
Rebate policies are available for students who opt for hostel accommodation but do not use the mess facility. These rebates can be applied for up to two months per semester.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth offers various financial assistance options to ensure that deserving students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds can pursue their education without financial strain:
- SC/ST/PwD Category: Eligible candidates receive a 50% concession on tuition fees and full waiver on hostel rent. Income slabs for this category are below ₹2,50,000 annually.
- EWS Category: Candidates with an annual income of up to ₹6,00,000 receive a 25% concession on tuition fees and partial waiver on hostel rent.
- MCM (Meritorious Class Merit): Students scoring above 90% in their qualifying exam are eligible for full fee waivers or reductions up to ₹1,00,000 per semester.
To apply for any of these concessions, students must submit relevant documentation such as income certificates, caste certificates, disability certificates, and academic records. Applications are processed by the Finance Committee and reviewed annually.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
All fees must be paid online through the official portal of Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth. Payment deadlines are clearly communicated at the beginning of each semester:
- First Installment: Due within 10 days from the start of the semester
- Second Installment: Due by the end of the first month of the semester
Late payments incur a penalty of ₹500 per day until cleared. Students who fail to pay fees on time may face restrictions on exam registration or result release.
In case of withdrawal from the program, refunds are processed according to the following policy:
- Withdrawal within 15 days: Full refund of tuition and hostel fees
- Withdrawal between 16-30 days: Refund of 75% of tuition fee and 50% of hostel fee
- Withdrawal after 30 days: No refund is provided for tuition fee, and only 25% of hostel fees are refunded
Refunds are processed within 30 working days from the date of application submission. Students must submit a written request along with supporting documents to initiate the refund process.
