Project-Based Learning Philosophy
The philosophy of project-based learning at D A V University Jalandhar emphasizes experiential education. Students engage in mini-projects throughout their academic journey, culminating in a final-year thesis or capstone project. These projects are designed to develop research skills, analytical reasoning, and practical application of legal principles.
Mini-projects typically involve conducting legal research on current issues, drafting opinions, and participating in mock trials. Students select their topics based on personal interest and faculty mentorship, ensuring relevance and depth in their studies. The final-year capstone project is a comprehensive research paper or case study that demonstrates mastery of the subject matter.
Faculty mentors guide students through each phase of the project, providing feedback and support. The evaluation criteria include originality of approach, legal accuracy, analytical depth, and presentation quality. This structured framework ensures that students graduate with not only theoretical knowledge but also practical expertise in their chosen area of specialization.
