Project-Based Learning Philosophy
The Law program at Dayananda Sagar University embraces project-based learning as a core component of its pedagogy. Projects are designed to simulate real-world legal scenarios and encourage students to apply their knowledge in practical contexts.
Mini-projects are assigned during the third year, allowing students to explore specific areas of interest within their chosen specialization tracks. These projects typically involve conducting legal research, analyzing case studies, or preparing legal opinions on contemporary issues.
The final-year thesis or capstone project is a significant undertaking that requires students to conduct original research under the supervision of faculty mentors. Students are expected to propose a topic relevant to current legal challenges, gather and analyze data, and present their findings in a comprehensive report or paper.
Students select their projects based on their interests and career aspirations, with guidance from faculty advisors. The evaluation criteria include the clarity of arguments, depth of research, adherence to legal standards, and overall presentation quality.
