Hostel & Mess Charges
The hostel accommodation at Doon Business School offers a comfortable living environment conducive to academic excellence. Rooms are categorized into single, double, and triple occupancy options with varying prices based on amenities provided.
Single-occupancy rooms come with private bathrooms, air conditioning, internet connectivity, and individual study desks. Double-occupancy rooms share common bathrooms and feature shared amenities such as a small kitchenette and lounge area.
The mess system operates on a monthly billing cycle where students prepay their meal expenses for the semester. The menu includes nutritious meals prepared by professional chefs following hygiene standards and dietary guidelines. Special dietary arrangements are available for vegetarians, non-vegetarians, and individuals with specific health requirements.
Rebate policies are applied to students who take leave during holidays or participate in approved extracurricular activities. Students can also request room transfers or upgrades based on availability and approval from hostel authorities.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
Doon Business School recognizes the financial challenges faced by meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and offers several concessionary schemes:
- SC/ST/PwD Category: Students belonging to these categories receive a 50% waiver on tuition fees with additional support for hostel and mess charges.
- EWS Category: A 25% discount is offered on tuition fees along with partial coverage of other charges.
- MCM (Minority Community): Students from minority communities receive a 10% reduction in tuition fees and full support for hostel accommodation.
The eligibility criteria for these schemes are based on income slabs, family composition, and caste certificates. Applications must be submitted through the official portal with supporting documents such as income certificate, caste certificate, and Aadhaar card.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
All fees must be paid before the specified deadline to avoid late penalties. Payments can be made online via net banking, debit/credit cards, or through NEFT/RTGS transfers. The payment gateway is secure and compliant with national banking standards.
Late payments attract a penalty of ₹500 per day until the outstanding amount is settled. Students who fail to pay fees within 15 days after the due date may face suspension from classes or hostel accommodation.
In case of withdrawal, students are entitled to refunds according to the refund policy outlined in the student handbook. Refunds are processed within 60 days of submission of the withdrawal request and are subject to deductions for administrative charges, hostel fees, and any outstanding dues.
