Project-Based Learning Philosophy
Our department is committed to project-based learning as a core component of the MBA experience. This approach ensures that students apply theoretical knowledge to real-world business challenges, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and practical problem-solving skills.
The curriculum includes two major projects: Mini-Projects and Final-Year Thesis/Capstone Project. The Mini-Project is introduced in the second semester and involves working on a defined business issue within a small team for approximately 4 weeks. These projects are typically sponsored by industry partners or designed around current market trends.
Students select their project topics based on interest, relevance to their specialization, and alignment with available resources. Each student is assigned a faculty mentor who provides guidance throughout the project lifecycle. The evaluation criteria include research quality, analytical depth, presentation skills, teamwork, and contribution to organizational learning outcomes.
The Final-Year Thesis/Capstone Project spans the entire fourth semester and requires students to conduct an in-depth study on a significant business problem or opportunity. This project integrates all learned concepts and methodologies, culminating in a comprehensive report and oral defense before a panel of experts.
Faculty mentors are selected based on expertise relevant to the chosen topic, ensuring that students receive high-quality supervision and access to specialized knowledge. The department maintains a database of potential project topics and industry partnerships to support meaningful and impactful research endeavors.
