Admissions Process

Era University Lucknow's LLB program is highly competitive, attracting talented students from across the country. The admission process is transparent and structured to ensure fairness and merit-based selection.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Entrance Examination

Admission is primarily based on performance in the National Law Entrance Test (NLET) or equivalent qualifying examination. The NLET is conducted annually by a recognized national body and includes sections on General Knowledge, English Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, and Legal Aptitude.

Application Procedure

  1. Online Registration: Interested candidates must register online through the official website of Era University Lucknow.
  2. Fill Application Form: Complete the application form with personal details, educational background, and preferred admission category.
  3. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of 10th and 12th mark sheets, passport-size photographs, signature, and any relevant certificates.
  4. Pay Application Fee: Pay the application fee online using debit/credit card or net banking.
  5. Submit Application: Review all information carefully before submitting the form. No changes can be made after submission.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of two stages:

  1. Stage I: Merit-Based Shortlisting
    • Candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the qualifying examination (NLET or equivalent).
    • Shortlisted candidates receive a call letter for counseling.
  2. Stage II: Counseling & Seat Allocation
    • Candidates attend counseling sessions conducted by the university.
    • They fill in their preferences for various admission categories and available seats.
    • Seats are allocated based on merit and category-wise reservation policies.

Admission Categories

The university follows a transparent categorization system to ensure equitable access:

  • General Category: All candidates who do not fall under reserved categories.
  • SC/ST: Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes as per government guidelines.
  • OBC-NCL: Other Backward Classes - Non-Creamy Layer.
  • EWS: Economically Weaker Sections.
  • PwD (Persons with Disabilities): Candidates with physical or mental disabilities as defined by the government.

Seat Allocation & Counseling

The seat allocation process is conducted through a centralized counseling mechanism involving multiple rounds:

  1. Round 1: Initial allocation based on merit scores.
  2. Round 2: Re-allocation for candidates who have not accepted their seats in Round 1.
  3. Round 3: Final round for any remaining vacancies.
