Fee Components Explained

Tuition Fee: Covers the cost of instruction, laboratory facilities, and access to academic resources. It includes lectures, practical sessions, and faculty fees.

Hostel Rent: Covers accommodation in university-hosted hostels. Different room types are available based on comfort levels and amenities.

Mess Advance: An advance payment for meals provided by the university's mess facilities. This amount is adjusted at the end of each month based on consumption.

Student Benevolent Fund: A fund used to support financially disadvantaged students, provide emergency assistance, and organize cultural and sports activities.

Medical Fees: Covers basic medical services, consultations, and access to health facilities within the campus.

Gymkhana Fees: Used for maintaining gymnasiums, sports facilities, and organizing athletic events and competitions.

Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting examinations, evaluating answer sheets, and issuing result certificates.

Hostel & Mess Charges

Geeta University Panipat offers various hostel options to accommodate students from different economic backgrounds. The hostels are equipped with modern amenities including Wi-Fi connectivity, 24/7 electricity supply, clean water, and security services.

Room Types

  • Semi-Private Rooms: Accommodate two students per room with shared common areas.
  • Private Rooms: Individual rooms with personal space and privacy.
  • Deluxe Rooms: Premium accommodations with additional amenities such as study tables, wardrobes, and air conditioning.

Mess Billing System

The mess billing system operates on a monthly basis. Students pay an advance amount for meals at the beginning of each month. The final bill is calculated based on actual consumption during that period. Refunds are processed if the student consumes less than what was paid in advance.

Rebate Policies

Students can apply for rebates under certain circumstances such as medical emergencies, family obligations, or academic leave. Rebates are granted after verification of supporting documents and approval from the hostel authority.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The university offers several financial aid options to ensure accessibility for deserving students from economically weaker sections.

Scholarship Categories

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: Students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, or Persons with Disabilities are eligible for full fee waivers and additional support grants.
  • EWS Category: Economically Weaker Section students receive partial fee concessions based on income slabs.
  • MCM (Married Children of Migrant Workers): Students from migrant worker families receive special consideration for financial assistance and scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria

Income slabs for fee concession are as follows:

  • Below ₹2.5 lakhs per annum: Full fee waiver
  • ₹2.5 - ₹5 lakhs per annum: 50% fee concession
  • ₹5 - ₹7.5 lakhs per annum: 25% fee concession

Application Process

Students must submit an application form along with supporting documents such as income certificates, caste certificates (if applicable), and disability certificates. Applications are reviewed by the financial aid committee and decisions are communicated within two weeks.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payments for fees are to be made through online banking, credit/debit cards, or NEFT/RTGS transfers. Students must ensure timely payment to avoid late fees and penalties.

Payment Deadlines

Payments must be completed by the first week of each semester. Failure to pay within the deadline results in a late fee of ₹1000 per day until the payment is received.

Refund Policy

If a student withdraws from the program before completing the academic year, a refund is processed according to the university's refund policy. The refund includes tuition fees minus administrative charges and hostel rent for the current semester. Refunds are typically processed within 45 days of withdrawal.
