Detailed Fee Components

Each component of the fee structure serves a specific purpose in supporting student education and campus life:

  • Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, laboratory access, and academic resources. It includes faculty salaries, infrastructure maintenance, and curriculum development.
  • Hostel Rent: Provides accommodation for students residing on campus. The fee covers room rent, utilities, security, and maintenance services.
  • Mess Advance: Covers meal expenses for the semester. Students pay in advance to ensure uninterrupted access to dining facilities.
  • Student Benevolent Fund: Supports financially disadvantaged students through grants and scholarships. It also funds cultural and sports activities.
  • Medical Fees: Ensures access to healthcare services on campus. Includes consultations, medicines, and emergency care.
  • Gymkhana Fees: Funds recreational facilities such as gyms, sports fields, and club activities. Supports student wellness and physical fitness.
  • Examination Fees: Covers administrative costs associated with conducting examinations, including question paper preparation, invigilation, and result processing.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel facility offers various room types to accommodate students based on their preferences and budget:

  • Double Occupancy Room: ₹40,000 per semester (shared amenities with one roommate).

Mess billing is calculated based on the number of meals consumed. The monthly mess bill ranges from ₹12,000 to ₹15,000 depending on the meal plan chosen by the student.

Rebate policies are available for students who miss meals due to illness or travel. Students must submit a medical certificate or leave application to qualify for rebates.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The department offers several financial aid options for eligible students:

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: Students belonging to SC/ST or PwD categories receive a 50% concession on tuition fees. Income slabs for eligibility are below ₹2 lakh per annum.

  • MCM (Meritorious Children of Migrant Workers): Eligible students receive a 10% concession on tuition fees. Income must be below ₹4 lakh per annum.

Additional scholarships are available for top-performing students based on academic merit and extracurricular achievements. These include the Merit Scholarship, Innovation Fellowship, and Alumni Award.

If a student withdraws from the program before completing the academic year, the refund policy applies:

  • Withdrawal Before 15 Days: Full refund minus processing charges of ₹2000.
  • Withdrawal Between 15-30 Days: Refund of 90% after deducting processing charges.
  • Withdrawal After 30 Days: No refund is granted unless approved by the administration.

Refunds are processed within 45 days from the date of withdrawal application, provided all dues are cleared and documentation is complete.
