Fee Structure Overview

The total cost of the Surveying program at Government Polytechnic Champawat includes various components that are charged per semester. The following table provides a detailed breakdown of all fees applicable for the duration of the program:

Detailed Fee Components

• Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, study materials, and administrative costs for academic activities.
• Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in the campus hostel facilities with shared amenities.
• Mess Advance: Prepaid meal charges covering meals throughout the semester.
• Student Benevolent Fund: Supports students facing financial hardships and contributes to student welfare initiatives.
• Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services available on campus.
• Gymkhana Fees: Supports sports activities, fitness facilities, and cultural events.
• Examination Fees: Covers examination conduct, evaluation, and result processing costs.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The campus hostel offers various room types to accommodate students:

• Single Occupancy Room: INR 15000 per semester (includes basic amenities)
• Double Occupancy Room: INR 12000 per semester
• Triple Occupancy Room: INR 10000 per semester

The mess billing system operates on a monthly basis. Students are required to pay an advance for meals, which is adjusted at the end of each month based on consumption.

Rebate policies are applicable for students who stay in hostels but do not consume meals during specific periods due to travel or illness.

Fee Waivers, Concessions & Scholarships

The college provides several financial aid options for eligible students:

• SC/ST/PwD Category: Eligible students receive a 100% waiver on tuition fees and a 50% concession on hostel charges.
• EWS Category: 50% waiver on tuition fees and 25% concession on hostel charges.
• MCM (Minority Community Members): 50% waiver on tuition fees and 25% concession on hostel charges.

Income slabs for scholarship eligibility:

• For EWS category: Annual income below INR 3 lakhs
• For MCM category: Annual income below INR 4 lakhs
• For SC/ST/PwD category: Annual income below INR 2 lakhs

Applications for fee concessions must be submitted along with supporting documents to the finance department.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Fees are payable through online banking, debit/credit cards, or NEFT transfers. Payment deadlines are clearly communicated via official notices and SMS alerts.

Late fees are calculated as 5% of the outstanding amount for each month of delay beyond the deadline.

The refund policy applies in cases of withdrawal from the program. Refunds are processed after deducting administrative charges and any pending dues. Withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing to the principal with valid reasons.
