Tuition Fee: This is the primary fee component covering instruction, laboratory access, and administrative support. It is divided into semester-wise installments to ensure manageable payments.
Hostel Rent: Accommodation fees for students staying on campus. Hostel rooms are categorized into single, double, triple, and quad occupancy options with varying rates based on amenities provided.

Hostel & Mess Charges
The hostel facility at Government Polytechnic Kanalichhina provides comfortable accommodation for students from all over the country. Rooms are equipped with essential amenities such as beds, study tables, wardrobes, fans, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
There are different categories of rooms:
- Single Occupancy Room: ₹20,000 per semester
- Double Occupancy Room: ₹18,000 per semester
- Triple Occupancy Room: ₹16,000 per semester
- Quad Occupancy Room: ₹14,000 per semester
The mess billing system is straightforward and transparent. Students pay an advance amount for the month, which is adjusted based on actual consumption at the end of each month. Rebate policies are available for students who attend fewer meals due to academic commitments or health issues.
Fee Waivers, Concessions & Scholarships
The institution offers several financial aid options for deserving students:
- SC/ST/PwD Category: Eligible students receive a 50% waiver on tuition fees and full exemption from hostel charges.
- EWS Category: Students in this category get a 25% reduction in tuition fees and partial waiver on hostel charges.
- MCM (Minority Community): Eligible students receive a 10% discount on tuition fees and concessions on hostel charges.
Additional scholarships are available for students scoring above 90% in their qualifying exams or those with exceptional academic performance. These scholarships range from ₹5,000 to ₹20,000 per semester and are awarded based on merit and need.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
Students can make fee payments through online portals or at designated counters on campus. Payment deadlines are strictly enforced to avoid late fees and penalties. Late payment incurs a monthly penalty of ₹1,000 until the balance is cleared.
In case of withdrawal from the program, students must submit a formal request with supporting documents. Refunds are processed within 30 days after verification of all dues. The refund amount excludes administrative charges and any outstanding fees.
