Fee Component Details
Tuition Fee: Covers instruction costs for all courses and access to academic resources. The fee is fixed for the entire program duration.
Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in shared rooms with basic amenities such as beds, tables, chairs, and wardrobes. Shared bathrooms and common areas are provided.
Mess Advance: Prepaid meal charges covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the semester. The mess offers a diverse menu including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
Student Benevolent Fund: A nominal fee collected to support students in financial distress or emergencies.
Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services provided by the campus medical center, including consultations and emergency treatment.
Gymkhana Fees: Supports recreational activities and sports facilities available on campus.
Examination Fees: Covers administrative costs associated with conducting semester examinations and issuing result certificates.
Hostel & Mess Charges
The hostel facilities at Government Polytechnic Shaktifarm are designed to provide a comfortable living environment for students. There are three types of rooms available:
- Single Occupancy Room: Rs. 15,000 per semester (with attached bathroom)
- Double Occupancy Room: Rs. 12,000 per semester (shared bathroom)
- Triple Occupancy Room: Rs. 10,000 per semester (shared bathroom)
The mess operates on a prepaid system where students pay an advance for the entire semester. Meals are served in a hygienic environment with regular cleaning schedules and quality control checks.
Rebate policies are available for students who do not use certain services during the semester, such as hostel accommodation or mess meals. These rebates are calculated based on actual usage and submitted to the administration for approval.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
The institution provides financial assistance through various waiver schemes and scholarships aimed at supporting deserving students:
- SC/ST/PwD Category: 100% fee waiver for eligible students based on caste certificates and disability proofs.
- EWS Category: 50% fee concession for students from economically weaker sections with income below Rs. 8 lakh per annum.
- MCM (Minority Community): 25% fee concession for students belonging to minority communities recognized by the government.
Application procedures for these schemes are simple and can be completed online via the official portal. Students must submit required documents such as income certificates, caste certificates, disability certificates, and Aadhaar cards.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
Fees must be paid within 15 days of admission or before the start of each semester. Payment can be made through online banking, credit/debit cards, or NEFT/RTGS transactions. Late payments attract a penalty fee of Rs. 500 per day.
The refund policy applies to students who withdraw from the program within the first month of admission. A refund of 90% of the paid fees is processed after deducting administrative charges and hostel rent.
Students who discontinue studies mid-semester are refunded based on actual usage of services, with deductions made for examination fees, library charges, and any other applicable costs.
