Fee Components Explained

Tuition Fee

The tuition fee covers instruction costs for all courses and laboratory sessions. It includes access to digital learning resources, online databases, and research facilities. The fee is updated annually based on inflation rates and infrastructure improvements.

Hostel Rent

Hostel accommodations are available in single and double rooms with modern amenities including Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and 24/7 security. Single rooms offer more privacy, while double rooms provide a shared living experience that encourages peer interaction.

Mess Advance

The mess advance covers meal expenses for the entire semester. Students are billed monthly based on consumption, with the initial advance serving as an estimated amount. Any surplus or deficit is adjusted at the end of the semester.

Student Benevolent Fund

This fund supports students facing financial hardships and provides emergency assistance during unforeseen circumstances such as medical emergencies or family crises. Contributions are voluntary but encouraged for community support.

Medical Fees

Medical fees cover basic healthcare services provided by the university's on-campus health center, including consultations, vaccinations, and minor treatments. Students also have access to emergency medical facilities in nearby hospitals with insurance coverage.

Gymkhana Fees

The gymkhana fee supports recreational activities and sports facilities available on campus. Students can participate in various clubs, tournaments, and fitness programs to maintain physical well-being and develop leadership skills.

Examination Fees

These fees cover administrative costs associated with conducting examinations, including question paper preparation, invigilation, and result processing. Additional fees may apply for supplementary or re-examination attempts.

Hostel & Mess Charges

Room Types

  • Single Room: Equipped with a bed, study table, chair, wardrobe, and air conditioning. Shared bathroom facilities are available in common areas.
  • Double Room: Designed for two students sharing a single room with two beds, study tables, chairs, and wardrobes. Bathrooms are shared within the dormitory block.

Mess Billing System

The mess billing system operates on a monthly cycle where students pay in advance for meals. Consumption is tracked through a digital card system linked to individual accounts. Monthly bills are generated based on actual consumption, with adjustments made at the end of each semester.

Rebate Policies

  • Study Leave: Students on study leave for up to one month receive a partial rebate on hostel charges.
  • Medical Leave: For medical leave exceeding five days, students are entitled to full rebate on hostel charges.
  • Internship Leave: During internship periods, students may apply for temporary hostel leave with no charge for the duration of the internship.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria

Financial aid is available to students based on income criteria and other factors. The following categories qualify for fee concessions:

  • SC/ST/PwD Students: Eligible for 100% concession in tuition and hostel fees
  • EWS Students: Receive 50% concession in tuition and hostel fees
  • MCM (Minority Community Students): Qualify for partial fee reduction based on income level

Scholarship Benefits

Students receiving scholarships may also benefit from additional perks such as waived examination fees, free access to library resources, and priority booking for campus facilities.

Application Process

Applicants must submit detailed documentation including income certificates, caste certificates (for SC/ST), disability certificates (for PwD), and other relevant proofs. Applications are reviewed by a committee that evaluates merit and financial need before final approval.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payment Deadlines

All fees must be paid within the specified deadline set by the university each semester. Late payments attract penalties as per the fee policy guidelines. Students are advised to pay early to avoid last-minute complications.

Late Fee Calculations

For payments made after the due date, a late fee of 1% per month is applicable on outstanding balances. The maximum late fee allowed is capped at 50,000 INR for any single transaction.

Refund Rules

Students who withdraw from the university during the academic year are eligible for refunds based on the number of months remaining in the semester and the proportionate fees already paid. Refunds are processed within 30 days of withdrawal confirmation.

  • Before 15th Day: Full refund minus administrative charges
  • Between 15th and 30th Day: 50% refund with administrative charges
  • After 30th Day: No refund unless withdrawal is due to medical reasons
