Detailed Fee Components
Each component of the fee structure is explained below:
- Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, course materials, and access to university resources such as libraries and labs.
- Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in university-hosted dormitories with shared amenities like laundry, common rooms, and 24/7 security.
- Mess Advance: A fixed amount paid at the beginning of each semester for meals. The advance is adjusted based on actual consumption at the end of the semester.
- Student Benevolent Fund: Contributions towards student welfare initiatives, including medical assistance and emergency support.
- Medical Fees: Covers routine health check-ups and basic medical treatments available on campus.
- Gymkhana Fees: Supports sports facilities and extracurricular activities such as fitness programs and inter-college tournaments.
- Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting end-of-semester examinations, including proctoring and result processing.
Hostel & Mess Charges
The hostel facilities at Gyanveer University Sagar are designed to provide a comfortable living environment for students. There are several room types available:
- Single Occupancy Room: ₹80,000 per semester with private bathroom and study area.
- Double Occupancy Room: ₹65,000 per semester with shared bathroom and common study space.
- Triple Occupancy Room: ₹55,000 per semester with shared facilities.
The mess billing system operates on a monthly basis. Students pay an advance of ₹25,000 at the start of each semester, which is adjusted based on actual consumption by the end of the semester. Rebates are available for students who do not consume meals regularly or who opt for special dietary plans.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
The university offers various financial aid options to eligible students:
- SC/ST/PwD Category: 100% fee waiver for students belonging to SC/ST or PwD categories.
- EWS Category: 50% fee concession for economically weaker sections.
- MCM (Minority Community): 25% fee concession for students from minority communities.
Eligibility for these benefits is determined based on income slabs and other relevant criteria. Applications must be submitted along with supporting documents during the admission process or within the first month of joining.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
All fees must be paid before the specified deadline to avoid late fees. The university accepts payments via net banking, credit/debit cards, and demand drafts. Late payment incurs a penalty of ₹500 per day until full payment is received.
In case of withdrawal or transfer, the refund policy applies as follows:
- Before 15 Days: Full refund minus administrative charges of ₹1000.
- Between 15-30 Days: Refund of 80% after deducting administrative charges.
- After 30 Days: No refund is issued unless there are extenuating circumstances approved by the administration.
