Admission Stages

The admission process consists of several stages, each critical to securing a seat in the program:

  1. Application Submission: Candidates must fill out the online application form on the official website within the specified deadline. The application fee varies by category: Rs. 2000 for General and OBC-NCL, Rs. 1000 for SC/ST/PwD.
  2. Entrance Exam Registration: After submitting the application, candidates must register for the relevant entrance exam (JEE Advanced, JEE Main, etc.). This involves paying an additional registration fee and uploading required documents.
  3. Entrance Examination: Candidates appear for the entrance examination conducted by the university or through recognized national exams. Scores are calculated based on performance in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (or related subjects).
  4. Merit List Preparation: The merit list is prepared based on the entrance exam scores, subject-wise weightage, and category-wise reservations. The final rank is determined by combining normalized scores across all categories.
  5. Choice Filling: Candidates must fill in their preferred choices of programs and colleges during the counseling process. The choices are ranked according to the merit list, and seats are allocated accordingly.
  6. Seat Allocation: Based on the merit list and available seats, candidates are allocated a seat in their chosen program. The allocation process is conducted through a centralized online system.
  7. Document Verification: Once a seat is allocated, candidates must appear for document verification at the designated center. Required documents include admit cards, scorecards, identity proof, caste certificate (if applicable), and residence proof.
  8. Fee Payment: Candidates must pay the required fees within the stipulated time to confirm their admission. Late payment incurs a penalty as per university guidelines.
