The breakdown of each component is as follows:

  • Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, laboratory access, library services, and administrative costs associated with the course.
  • Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in single or shared rooms, maintenance, utilities, and security services.
  • Mess Advance: Prepaid monthly food charges covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Adjustments are made at the end of each month based on actual consumption.
  • Student Benevolent Fund: Supports students facing financial hardships or emergencies during their studies.
  • Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services provided by the university hospital and emergency medical assistance.
  • Gymkhana Fees: Funds recreational activities, sports facilities, cultural events, and student organizations.
  • Examination Fees: Covers costs related to conducting internal and external examinations, result processing, and transcript generation.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The university offers various room types in its hostels:

  • Single Room: ₹20,000 per semester with attached bathroom and Wi-Fi access.
  • Double Room: ₹15,000 per semester for two occupants sharing a common bathroom and study space.
  • Triple Room: ₹10,000 per semester for three occupants in shared facilities.

The mess billing system operates on a monthly prepayment model. Students pay an advance of ₹20,000 per month which covers all meals for that period. At the end of the month, the actual consumption is calculated, and any surplus or deficit is adjusted accordingly.

Rebate policies are applicable for students who miss meals due to illness or other valid reasons. A medical certificate must be submitted to claim a partial refund or deferment of charges.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Financial aid is available to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds:

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: 100% waiver on tuition fee and hostel rent. Additional concessions may apply based on income slabs.
  • EWS Category: 50% reduction in tuition fee and hostel rent with eligibility for partial mess rebate.
  • MCM (Maiden Child of a Meritorious Family): 25% discount on tuition fee and full waiver on hostel charges if family income is below ₹3 lakh annually.

The application process requires submission of relevant documents including caste certificates, income proofs, and academic transcripts. All applications are reviewed by the financial aid committee for verification and approval.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All fees must be paid before the start of each semester. Late payments attract a penalty of ₹1,000 per day until cleared. Students may opt for installment plans subject to prior approval from the finance department.

In case of withdrawal from the program, the refund policy applies as follows:

  • Withdrawal within 30 days: Full refund minus administrative charges of ₹1,000.
  • Withdrawal after 30 days but before 60 days: Refund of 80% of total fees paid minus administrative charges.
  • Withdrawal after 60 days: No refund is granted except for the amount remaining in the mess advance account, subject to final settlement.
