Fee Components Explanation
Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, library services, and academic resources for the entire course duration.
Hostel Rent: Monthly accommodation charges for students residing on campus. The hostel provides basic amenities including Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and 24/7 security.
Mess Advance: Advance payment for meals during the semester. This amount is adjusted at the end of the semester based on actual consumption.
Student Benevolent Fund: A fund used to support students facing financial hardships or emergencies.
Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services provided by the institute's medical center.
Gymkhana Fees: Includes access to gym facilities, sports equipment, and recreational activities.
Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting examinations and maintaining academic records.
Hostel & Mess Charges
The hostel facilities at IIRS are designed to provide a comfortable living environment for students. Hostels offer various room types:
- Single Occupancy Room: INR 25000/month
- Double Occupancy Room: INR 18000/month
- Triple Occupancy Room: INR 15000/month
The mess system operates on a monthly billing cycle, with meals provided for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Students can opt for different meal plans based on their preferences.
Rebate policies are available for students who stay during holidays or have special circumstances such as illness or family emergencies. The rebate amount varies from 10% to 50% depending on the duration of absence.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
IIRS offers several financial assistance programs to ensure that deserving students can pursue their education without financial strain:
Scholarship Categories
- SC/ST/PwD Category: Full fee waiver for students belonging to these categories.
- EWS Category: 50% fee concession for economically weaker sections.
- MCM (Minority Community Members): 25% fee concession for minority community members.
Eligibility Criteria
Financial assistance is determined based on the annual income of the family:
- SC/ST/PwD: No income limit
- EWS: Annual income below INR 2.5 lakhs
- MCM: Annual income below INR 1.5 lakhs
Applications for fee waivers and concessions must be submitted along with supporting documents such as income certificates, caste certificates (for SC/ST), and disability certificates (for PwD).
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
The payment procedure involves online transactions through the institute's portal. Students are required to make payments before the start of each semester.
Payment Deadlines: Payments must be made by the first week of each semester. Late fees are applicable for delayed payments, starting at 1% per month.
Refund Policy: Refunds are processed in case of withdrawal or transfer from the institute. The refund amount is calculated based on the remaining period of study and adjusted against the fees already paid.
Students can request a refund within one month of withdrawal, subject to the approval of the administration. Refunds are typically processed within 60 days of submission of the request.
