Fee Components Explained
Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, laboratory access, library services, and administrative costs associated with education delivery. It is non-refundable and must be paid in full each semester.
Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in university-hosted dormitories with amenities like Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and 24/7 security. Room types vary from single occupancy to shared rooms with multiple students.
Mess Advance: Covers monthly food expenses for students living on campus. This amount is adjusted at the end of each month based on actual consumption.
Student Benevolent Fund: A voluntary contribution that supports students facing financial hardships or emergencies during their academic journey.
Medical Fees: Covers basic medical services, consultations, and medications available through the university's health center. Students are encouraged to maintain personal insurance for additional coverage.
Gymkhana Fees: Supports recreational activities, sports events, and cultural programs organized by the student government.
Examination Fees: Covers costs related to conducting end-of-semester exams, including proctoring, invigilation, and result processing.
Hostel & Mess Charges
The university offers several room types to accommodate different preferences and budgets. Single occupancy rooms cost INR 10,000 per month, while double or triple occupancy rooms are priced at INR 6,000 and INR 4,000 respectively.
Each room comes equipped with essential furniture, air conditioning, and internet connectivity. The mess billing system operates on a monthly cycle, where students pre-pay for meals and adjustments are made based on usage.
Rebate policies are available for students who opt out of the mess facility or take leaves during certain periods. Refunds are processed within 30 days of submission of necessary documentation.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
The university provides financial assistance through various schemes including merit-based scholarships, need-based grants, and category-specific concessions for SC/ST/PwD students. The income slabs for eligibility are as follows:
- General Category: No waiver available unless exceptional circumstances apply
- EWS: Waiver up to 50% for annual income below INR 3 lakhs
- SC/ST/PwD: Full waiver for annual income below INR 2 lakhs
- MCM (Minority Community Members): Waiver up to 30% for annual income below INR 2.5 lakhs
Applications for financial aid must be submitted before the start of the academic year along with supporting documents such as income certificates, caste certificates, and disability certificates where applicable.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
All fees must be paid online via the university's portal using debit cards, credit cards, or net banking. Late payments attract a penalty of INR 500 per day until clearance is achieved.
The refund policy applies to students who withdraw from the program before completing one semester. A processing fee of 10% is deducted from the refunded amount, and the remaining balance is credited back within 30 working days after submission of the withdrawal request.
