Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel facilities at Indus University are designed to offer comfort, safety, and convenience for students pursuing their studies. There are different room types available based on accommodation needs:

  • Single Occupancy Room: ₹15000 per semester
  • Double Occupancy Room: ₹12000 per semester
  • Triple Occupancy Room: ₹10000 per semester

Mess Billing System

The mess billing system is transparent and follows a monthly cycle. Students are charged for meals based on the number of days they consume meals during the semester. The system uses biometric scanners to track meal consumption, ensuring fairness and accuracy.

Rebate Policies

  • Weekend Rebates: Students who do not consume meals on weekends are eligible for partial rebates based on the number of days missed.
  • Leave Rebates: During approved leaves, students receive full or partial rebates depending on the duration and type of leave taken.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Indus University recognizes the financial challenges faced by many students and offers various forms of financial aid to ensure equitable access to quality education:

Eligibility Criteria

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: Students belonging to these categories are eligible for a 50% waiver on tuition fees and full waiver on hostel rent and mess charges.
  • EWS Category: Students from economically weaker sections receive a 25% waiver on tuition fees and partial concession on hostel charges.
  • MCM (Meritorious Children of Migrant Workers): These students are eligible for full fee waivers and additional scholarships based on their academic performance.

Application Process

To apply for fee waivers or scholarships, students must submit the required documents along with their application form. The process involves verification by the financial aid committee and approval by the university administration.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payment Deadlines

All fees must be paid within 10 days of the start of each semester. Late payments attract a penalty fee of ₹500 per day, up to a maximum of ₹5000.

Late Fee Calculations

For payments made after the deadline, the late fee is calculated daily based on the outstanding amount. The total late fee cannot exceed ₹5000 unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Refund Rules

  • Withdrawal Before Semester Begins: Full refund of fees minus administrative charges (₹1000) is provided if withdrawal occurs before the semester starts.
  • Withdrawal During Semester: Refunds are processed based on the number of weeks completed and are subject to approval by the university authorities.
  • Transfer Requests: Students transferring to another institution may be eligible for partial refunds if all fees have been paid in full and no academic obligations remain.
