Fee Structure Explanation
Tuition Fee covers instruction, laboratory access, and administrative support throughout the academic year. It is fixed for all students within the same category and includes provisions for additional resources such as textbooks and digital learning materials.
Hostel Rent is charged per semester and varies depending on room type and amenities provided. The university offers single, double, triple, and quad occupancy rooms with shared or private bathrooms, air conditioning, internet connectivity, and 24/7 security services.
Mess Advance is a prepayment for meals consumed during the semester. Students can adjust their mess advance based on actual consumption or request refunds at the end of each semester.
Student Benevolent Fund contributes towards campus welfare activities and scholarships for meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Contributions are minimal but essential for maintaining the overall well-being of the student community.
Medical Fees cover basic healthcare services available on campus, including consultations with general physicians, vaccinations, emergency care, and preventive health checkups.
Gymkhana Fees support sports activities, recreational facilities, and cultural events organized by the student union. These funds enable students to participate in various competitions, tournaments, and extracurricular programs.
Examination Fees cover administrative costs associated with conducting end-of-term examinations, including question paper preparation, invigilation, result processing, and certificate generation.
Hostel & Mess Charges
The hostel charges are divided into different categories based on room type. Single occupancy rooms cost INR 50,000 per semester while double occupancy rooms cost INR 40,000. Triple and quad occupancy rooms are priced at INR 35,000 and INR 30,000 respectively.
Mess billing is calculated based on the number of meals consumed daily, with a standard rate of INR 120 per meal. Students can opt for monthly or quarterly subscriptions to reduce costs and avoid daily transactions. Rebate policies are applied in cases of illness or extended leave periods, ensuring fair treatment for all students.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
The university provides several financial assistance schemes for students from SC/ST/PwD, EWS, and MCM categories. Eligibility criteria include annual family income slabs, academic performance, and documentation of socioeconomic status.
For SC/ST/PwD students, a 100% waiver is granted on tuition fees if their family income falls below INR 3 lakhs annually. EWS students receive a 50% waiver on tuition fees under the same conditions. MCM (Minority Community) students may qualify for partial waivers depending on their financial status and eligibility.
Scholarship applications are submitted online through the university portal, requiring documents such as income certificates, caste certificates, and Aadhaar cards. Selected candidates receive notifications via email or SMS, followed by disbursement of funds directly into their bank accounts.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
Payments must be made within 7 days of registration to avoid late fees and penalties. Late payment incurs a fixed penalty of INR 1000 per day until full payment is received. Refunds are processed only upon withdrawal from the program, subject to adherence to university guidelines and refund timelines.
Withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing with supporting documents, including leave letters, medical certificates (if applicable), and consent forms from parents/guardians. Once approved, refunds are credited back to the student's bank account within 30 working days, minus deductions for any outstanding dues or penalties.
