Fee Components Explanation

Each component of the fee structure plays a crucial role in providing a holistic educational experience:

  • Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, laboratory sessions, and access to digital resources and libraries.
  • Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in university-hosted dormitories with basic amenities like Wi-Fi, AC, and laundry services.
  • Mess Advance: A fixed monthly charge that covers food expenses. This is adjusted at the end of each semester based on consumption.
  • Student Benevolent Fund: Supports students facing financial hardships through emergency loans or scholarships.
  • Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services provided within campus clinics and emergency medical assistance.
  • Gymkhana Fees: Funds student sports activities, gym facilities, and fitness programs.
  • Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting internal assessments, practical exams, and final semester evaluations.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The university provides accommodation in air-conditioned hostels with modern amenities. Rooms are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, and students can choose between single, double, or triple occupancy rooms depending on availability.

Room Types

  • Single Occupancy: Rs. 25000/month (inclusive of utilities)
  • Double Occupancy: Rs. 15000/month (inclusive of utilities)
  • Triple Occupancy: Rs. 10000/month (inclusive of utilities)

Mess Billing System

The mess bill is calculated based on the number of meals consumed during the semester. Students are required to pay a monthly advance, which is adjusted at the end of each semester. The average meal cost is approximately Rs. 150 per day.

Rebate Policies

Students who leave campus during holidays or for internships may be eligible for partial rebates on hostel rent and mess charges. Applications for rebates must be submitted before the start of the semester.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The university offers several financial aid options to support deserving students:

Eligibility Criteria

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: Students belonging to SC/ST or PwD categories are eligible for 100% fee waiver.
  • EWS Category: Students from EWS backgrounds receive a 50% discount on tuition fees.
  • MCM (Minority Community): Students from minority communities are eligible for 25% discount on tuition fees.
  • Income Slabs: For general category students, fee concessions are based on family income. Students with an annual income below Rs. 4 lakhs receive a 25% concession, while those earning between Rs. 4-8 lakhs get a 10% concession.

Scholarship Application Process

Students must fill out the scholarship application form and submit supporting documents such as income certificates, caste certificates (if applicable), and academic transcripts. Applications are reviewed by a committee, and awards are announced annually in July.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All payments must be made through net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI. Late payments incur a penalty of Rs. 100 per day beyond the due date. Students can pay fees in installments, but all dues must be cleared before appearing for exams.

Refund Policy

If a student withdraws from the program before the start of the semester, they are entitled to a refund of tuition fees minus administrative charges. Refunds are processed within 30 days of submission of withdrawal forms and supporting documents.
