Fee Components Breakdown

Tuition Fee

The mess billing system is straightforward and transparent. Students are required to pay an advance of Rs. 30,000 per semester, which covers their meals for the entire duration. At the end of the semester, the actual consumption is calculated, and any excess or shortage is adjusted accordingly.

Rebate Policies

The university offers several rebate policies to support students during special circumstances such as illness, family emergencies, or academic leaves:

  • Medical Leave: A full refund of hostel rent and mess charges for up to 15 days of medical leave.
  • Academic Leave: Partial refund of hostel rent and mess charges for up to 30 days of academic leave.
  • Family Emergency: Full refund of hostel rent and mess charges for up to 30 days in case of family emergency.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The university offers various fee waivers, concessions, and scholarships to deserving students based on their financial background and academic merit:

Eligibility Criteria

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: Students belonging to SC/ST or PwD categories are eligible for a 50% waiver on tuition fees.
  • EWS Category: Students from the EWS category receive a 25% concession on tuition fees.
  • MCM (Meritorious Children of Migrant Workers): Students from this category are eligible for a 100% waiver on tuition fees and a 50% concession on hostel rent.

The scholarship application process involves submitting relevant documents such as caste certificates, income certificates, and academic transcripts. The university reviews applications annually and disburses scholarships based on merit and need.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payments for tuition fees, hostel rent, and other charges must be made through online banking or NEFT/RTGS transfer to the university's designated account. Students are required to complete payment within the specified deadline to avoid late fees.

Payment Deadlines

  • Tuition Fee: Must be paid by the first week of the semester.
  • Hostel Rent: Must be paid by the first week of the semester.
  • Mess Advance: Must be paid by the first week of the semester.

Late Fee Calculation

A late fee of Rs. 500 per day is applicable for delayed payments beyond the due date. Students who fail to pay within 30 days may face suspension from the university.

Refund Policy

In case of withdrawal from the university, students are eligible for refunds based on the following criteria:

  • Withdrawal before 15 days: Full refund of tuition fees and hostel rent (excluding mess charges).
  • Withdrawal after 15 days but before 30 days: Refund of 75% of tuition fees and hostel rent.
  • Withdrawal after 30 days: No refund of tuition fees or hostel rent, but mess charges may be refunded based on actual consumption.

The university also provides financial assistance to students who are unable to meet their fee obligations through various schemes such as EMI options and student loans. These facilities are available upon request and subject to approval by the finance committee.
