Fee Components Explained

Tuition Fee: Covers course instruction, faculty salaries, and academic resources. This includes access to online learning platforms, textbooks, and laboratory materials.

Hostel Rent: Includes accommodation in university dormitories with shared amenities like common rooms, laundry facilities, and security services.

Mess Advance: Prepaid meal charges covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the semester. The mess system provides nutritious meals prepared by certified chefs and monitored by health authorities.

Student Benevolent Fund: A nominal contribution towards student welfare initiatives including scholarships, medical assistance, and extracurricular activities.

Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services provided by the university's on-site clinic, including consultations, vaccinations, and emergency care.

Gymkhana Fees: Supports sports and recreational activities, including access to gymnasiums, sports facilities, and fitness programs.

Examination Fees: Covers administrative costs associated with conducting end-of-semester exams, including proctoring, grading, and result processing.

Library Fee: Grants access to digital databases, journals, books, and study spaces within the university library system.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel accommodation offers multiple room types catering to different needs:

  • Single Occupancy Room: Rs. 50,000 per semester
  • Double Occupancy Room: Rs. 40,000 per semester
  • Triple Occupancy Room: Rs. 30,000 per semester

Mess charges are calculated based on the number of meals consumed daily and vary according to room type. The mess billing system operates monthly, with advance payments required for each month.

Rebate policies allow students to receive partial refunds in case of absences due to illness or travel. Students must submit a medical certificate or travel document for approval before receiving rebates.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Financial assistance is available through various schemes based on merit and need:

  • SC/ST/PwD Category: Full waiver of tuition fee for eligible students. Additional support includes hostel rent subsidies and monthly stipends.
  • EWS Category: 50% reduction in tuition fee and full waiver of hostel rent. Monthly stipend of Rs. 2,000 provided for living expenses.
  • MCM (Merit Cum Means): Students scoring above 80% in Class 12th receive a 30% discount on tuition fees and full waiver of mess charges.

Application procedures involve submitting relevant documents such as income certificates, caste certificates, and academic transcripts. The university reviews applications annually and disburses financial aid accordingly.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payments must be made before the start of each semester. Late fees are charged at 10% per month on overdue amounts. Students can pay via online banking, debit cards, credit cards, or NEFT/RTGS transfers.

The refund policy applies in cases of withdrawal from the program. Refunds are processed within 30 days after submission of the withdrawal request and necessary documentation. A processing fee of Rs. 1,000 is deducted from the refund amount.

Students who withdraw before completing one semester are entitled to a partial refund proportional to the number of months attended.
