Hostel & Mess Charges

O P Jindal University Raigarh offers multiple hostel options to accommodate different preferences and budgets. Hostel rooms are categorized into single, double, triple, and quad occupancy types, with air-conditioned facilities available in premium categories.

The mess system operates on a monthly billing cycle, where students receive bills based on their actual consumption. Meal plans include breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Students can opt for flexible meal plans that adjust according to their dietary needs and preferences.

Rebate policies are implemented for students who do not use hostel facilities during specific periods such as holidays or internships. These rebates may be partial or full, depending on the duration of absence and approval from the administration.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The university provides financial assistance to students from low-income families through various scholarship schemes. Eligibility criteria for these scholarships include parental income limits, academic performance, and social background.

• SC/ST/PwD Category: Full fee waiver is granted to eligible students from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, or Persons with Disabilities.
• EWS Category: 50% fee concession for economically weaker sections who meet income thresholds set by the government.
• MCM (Meritorious and Community Members): Up to 25% discount on tuition fees for outstanding performers in academics or extracurricular activities.

Applications for fee waivers must be submitted along with supporting documents such as income certificates, caste validity certificates, and proof of residence. The review process is conducted by a dedicated committee that evaluates each application based on merit and need.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payments are to be made online via net banking or credit/debit cards through the university portal. Late payments incur a penalty fee of 100 INR per day, starting from the due date. Students must ensure timely payment to avoid disruptions in academic activities.

The refund policy applies to students who withdraw from the program before completing the first semester. Refunds are processed within 30 days after submission of withdrawal forms and supporting documents. No refunds are issued for students who have completed at least one semester unless there are exceptional circumstances approved by the university administration.
