Project-Based Learning Philosophy
At O P Jindal University Raigarh, project-based learning is integral to the Law program's pedagogical framework. We believe that practical experience enhances theoretical understanding and prepares students for real-world legal practice.
The curriculum includes two mandatory mini-projects in the second year, followed by a final-year capstone thesis. These projects are designed to simulate actual legal scenarios, encouraging students to conduct research, apply legal principles, and present findings effectively.
Mini-projects focus on specific areas such as drafting contracts, analyzing case law, or preparing legal opinions. Students work in teams under faculty supervision, learning collaboration skills and professional standards. The projects are evaluated based on accuracy, clarity, depth of analysis, and presentation quality.
The final-year thesis allows students to pursue an area of personal interest within the field of Law. They select a topic with guidance from a faculty mentor and complete a substantial research paper or policy proposal. This process builds critical thinking, writing proficiency, and independent learning capabilities essential for legal careers.
Throughout the program, students are encouraged to participate in moot courts, mock trials, and internships to gain hands-on experience. These activities complement classroom instruction and provide valuable networking opportunities with practitioners in the field.
