Admissions Process

The admission process for the Biotechnology program at Pacific Medical University Udaipur is designed to select students who demonstrate academic excellence, analytical skills, and a passion for science. Application Procedure

Admission Categories

The university follows the reservation policy as per central government guidelines. SC/ST candidates receive 15% reservation, OBC-NCL candidates receive 27% reservation, and EWS candidates receive 10% reservation.

Selection Process

Students are selected based on their performance in JEE Advanced or JEE Main, along with their academic achievements in 12th grade. A merit list is prepared using weighted scores from both the entrance examination and board exams.

For JEE Advanced candidates, the merit score is calculated as (75% of JEE Advanced rank + 25% of 12th grade percentage). For JEE Main candidates, it is calculated as (70% of JEE Main rank + 30% of 12th grade percentage).

Seat Allocation

Seats are allocated based on the merit list and preferences chosen by applicants during counseling. The process includes round-wise allocation where seats are filled until no further bids are made.

Candidates must confirm their seat acceptance within a specified timeframe after the final rank list is declared. Failure to accept the seat results in forfeiture of eligibility for future rounds.
