Fee Components Explanation
Tuition Fee: Covers instruction, library access, and academic resources. It includes all course materials, laboratory sessions, and guest lectures.
Hostel Rent: Monthly rent for accommodation on campus. Students can choose from single, double, or triple occupancy rooms depending on availability.
Mess Advance: A monthly advance payment towards food expenses provided by the hostel mess. Meals are served in a cafeteria-style setup with multiple options catering to different dietary needs.
Student Benevolent Fund: A small annual contribution used for supporting financially disadvantaged students and organizing cultural and social events on campus.
Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services provided within the campus medical center, including consultations, vaccinations, and emergency care.
Gymkhana Fees: Annual fees that fund sports activities, fitness facilities, and athletic competitions organized by the student government body.
Examination Fees: Covers costs associated with conducting end-of-semester examinations, including question paper preparation, invigilation, and result processing.
Hostel & Mess Charges
Students residing on campus are charged hostel rent based on room type. The hostel offers various accommodation options:
- Single Occupancy Room: INR 25,000/month
- Double Occupancy Room: INR 20,000/month
- Triple Occupancy Room: INR 18,000/month
The mess charges include a monthly advance of INR 15,000, covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 30 days. Rebate policies are available for students who do not use meals on certain days.
Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships
The institute provides several financial assistance options to eligible students:
- SC/ST/PwD Category: Students belonging to these categories receive full fee waivers based on verified documents.
- EWS Category: Eligible students receive a 50% reduction in fees upon submission of income certificates and other documentation.
- MCM (Meritorious Children of Migrant Workers): Students from this category are eligible for a 25% fee concession if their parents' annual income is below INR 3 lakh.
To apply for these concessions, students must submit the required documents along with their application forms. The process includes verification by the finance department and final approval by the administration.
Payment Procedures & Refund Policy
Payments can be made online through net banking, debit/credit cards, or NEFT transfers. Students are advised to make payments before the deadline to avoid late fees.
Late Fee Calculation: A late fee of INR 1000 per day is applicable for delayed payments beyond the due date. Payments made after 15 days may result in suspension of academic activities until cleared.
Refund Rules: Refunds are processed according to the following conditions:
- If a student withdraws from the program within the first month, full refund is granted minus administrative charges.
- Withdrawal after one month results in partial refund of tuition fees, subject to approval by the finance committee.
- No refunds are issued for hostel or mess charges unless the student vacates the premises and provides proof of relocation.
