Project-Based Learning Philosophy
Our department strongly believes in experiential learning through project-based education. All students are required to complete both a mini-project in their second year and a final-year thesis or capstone project that directly addresses real-world organizational challenges.
The structure of these projects involves:
- Mini-Projects: In the second year, students form teams to work on a 3-month-long project related to workplace dynamics. Each group selects a topic from a pre-approved list or proposes one after consultation with faculty mentors.
- Capstone Projects: In the fourth year, students undertake an in-depth study of an organizational problem under the guidance of a faculty mentor. The capstone includes literature review, data collection, analysis, and presentation of findings.
Evaluation criteria for both projects include:
- Clarity of research question or problem statement
- Methodology soundness and appropriateness
- Data quality and analytical rigor
- Originality and contribution to the field
- Presentation effectiveness and professionalism
Students are encouraged to select projects that align with their interests or career aspirations. Faculty mentors are assigned based on expertise, availability, and student preferences, ensuring optimal support throughout the process.
