Tuition Fee: The tuition fee covers the cost of instruction, laboratory sessions, and access to academic resources. It is fixed for the duration of the program.

Hostel Rent: Students can choose from single, double, or triple occupancy rooms. Rent varies based on room type and includes utilities like electricity and internet.

Mess Advance: This advance covers the cost of meals during the semester and is adjusted at the end of the semester based on consumption.

Student Benevolent Fund: A nominal fee collected to support students in financial distress or emergencies.

Medical Fees: Covers basic healthcare services provided within the campus medical center.

Gymkhana Fees: These fees fund recreational and sports activities on campus.

Examination Fees: Covers administrative costs associated with conducting semester exams.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The hostel facilities are categorized into single, double, and triple occupancy rooms. Each room comes with basic amenities such as beds, study tables, wardrobes, and air conditioning. The mess charges are inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Room Types:

• Single Occupancy Room: INR 60,000 per semester
• Double Occupancy Room: INR 45,000 per semester
• Triple Occupancy Room: INR 30,000 per semester

Mess Billing System:

The mess charges are calculated based on the number of meals consumed. A monthly billing system is followed, and adjustments are made at the end of each month. Students can opt for different meal plans including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Roorkee College Of Engineering offers several financial assistance programs to eligible students:

• SC/ST/PwD Category: Students from reserved categories receive a 100% waiver on tuition fees.
• EWS Category: A 50% concession on tuition fees is offered to EWS category students.
• MCM (Meritorious Children of Migrant Workers): A 50% concession on tuition fees for students from this category.

Students must submit supporting documents along with their application forms. The eligibility criteria include income slabs, domicile certificates, and other relevant proofs.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payment Deadlines: Fees must be paid within 10 days of the start of each semester. Late payments attract a penalty fee of INR 500 per day.

Refund Rules: Refunds are processed for students who withdraw from the program before the completion of their first semester. The refund amount is adjusted based on the number of days attended and expenses incurred.

Refund Eligibility:

• Students who withdraw within 10 days of admission receive a full refund.
• After 10 days, refunds are processed after deducting administrative charges.
• No refunds are allowed for students who have completed one semester.
