Fee Structure Overview

The total fee structure for the SCADA program at School of Instrumentation, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya is designed to provide comprehensive education and support services while remaining accessible to students from diverse economic backgrounds. The fees are structured over eight semesters and include tuition, hostel charges, mess, and other essential components.

Detailed Fee Components

Tuition Fee: The tuition fee covers the cost of instruction, laboratory access, and educational resources. It is divided into two semesters for payment convenience.

Hostel Rent: Hostel accommodation is provided to all students and includes utilities such as electricity, water, internet, and maintenance services. The rent varies slightly based on room type and amenities.

Mess Advance: A fixed advance amount is collected for mess charges at the beginning of each semester. This ensures that students can access meals without delays during their stay.

Student Benevolent Fund: A one-time contribution is made towards this fund, which supports students in financial distress or those requiring emergency assistance.

Medical Fees: These fees cover basic healthcare services available on campus and are charged per semester.

Gymkhana Fees: This fee supports the functioning of student clubs, cultural events, sports activities, and extracurricular programs.

Examination Fees: Covers administrative costs associated with conducting examinations, including proctoring, evaluation, and result processing.

Hostel & Mess Charges

The campus provides multiple hostel options to accommodate different preferences and budgets. The following room types are available:

• Semi-Detached Rooms (2-Bed): Shared accommodation with basic amenities including bed, study table, chair, and wardrobe.
• Dormitory Style Rooms (4-Bed): Larger rooms shared among four students, suitable for budget-conscious individuals.
• Private Rooms (1-Bed): Single occupancy rooms with private facilities, including attached bathroom and Wi-Fi access.

Mess charges are calculated on a monthly basis, with options for daily meal plans or weekly packages. The mess offers a balanced diet with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options tailored to student preferences. Rebates are available for students who have not availed meals on certain days.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

The program provides several financial aid options to support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds:

• SC/ST/PwD Category: Eligible students receive a 50% concession on tuition fees.
• EWS Category: A 25% discount is provided on tuition fees and other charges.
• MCM (Married Children of Marginalized Communities): Students receive a 30% reduction in fees.

Scholarships are also available for meritorious students based on academic performance, leadership qualities, and extracurricular achievements. Applications must be submitted through the official portal with supporting documents such as income certificates, Aadhaar cards, and grade reports.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

All payments are made online through secure payment gateways or directly via bank transfer. Students are required to complete payments within 15 days of the start of the semester. Late payments incur a penalty of INR 1000 per day.

In case of withdrawal, refunds are processed according to the following rules:

• Withdrawal before 30 days: 90% refund
• Withdrawal between 30-60 days: 70% refund
• Withdrawal after 60 days: No refund

The refund process typically takes 30 business days to complete. Students must submit a formal withdrawal request along with necessary documentation for processing.
