Detailed Fee Components

Tuition Fee

The tuition fee covers all academic instruction, access to library resources, laboratory facilities, and educational materials. It is fixed for the entire duration of the program and includes fees for attendance, examinations, and administrative services.

Hostel Rent

Accommodation is provided through university-hosted hostels designed to ensure comfort and safety for students. Hostel rent varies based on room type and amenities offered.

Mess Advance

A mess advance fee covers the initial cost of meals during the first month of stay. This amount is adjusted monthly based on actual consumption and can be refunded upon final settlement.

Student Benevolent Fund

This fund supports students facing financial hardships or emergencies. Contributions are voluntary but highly encouraged to create a supportive environment for all students.

Medical Fees

Medical fees cover basic healthcare services, including consultations with on-campus doctors and access to emergency care facilities. Additional medical expenses beyond this amount are borne by the student.

Gymkhana Fees

Gymkhana fees support recreational activities, sports equipment maintenance, and fitness center operations. These funds enable students to engage in physical exercise and team-building events.

Examination Fees

Examination fees cover the costs associated with conducting end-of-semester tests, practical assessments, and grading procedures. These fees are collected at the beginning of each semester.

Hostel & Mess Charges

Room Types

The university offers various room types to accommodate different needs:

  • Single Room: ₹60,000 per semester with individual amenities and privacy.
  • Double Room: ₹50,000 per semester for two students sharing a room with shared common areas.
  • Triple Room: ₹40,000 per semester for three students sharing a room and common facilities.
  • Quad Room: ₹35,000 per semester for four students sharing a room with shared bathrooms and kitchenettes.

Mess Billing System

The mess billing system operates on a monthly basis with charges based on consumption patterns. Students receive meal cards that are linked to their accounts, allowing automatic deduction of fees upon meal consumption.

Rebate Policies

Students may be eligible for rebates under certain circumstances:

  • Leave of Absence: Students on leave for up to one month receive a partial rebate on hostel rent and mess charges.
  • Academic Performance: Outstanding students may qualify for discounts or scholarships that reduce overall fees.
  • Scholarship Recipients: Students receiving full or partial scholarships are exempted from certain components of the fee structure.

Fee Waivers, Concessions, and Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria

Scholarships are awarded based on merit, financial need, and category-specific eligibility:

  • Merit-Based Scholarships: Awarded to top-performing students in Class 12th or JEE Advanced scores. Income slabs for full scholarships are below ₹300,000 annually.
  • SC/ST/PwD Concessions: Full waiver of tuition fee and hostel charges for students belonging to these categories.
  • EWS Category: Partial concessions on tuition fees for families with annual income between ₹300,000 and ₹600,000.
  • MCM (Married Candidate Merit): Special consideration for married students pursuing higher education.

Application Process

To apply for fee waivers or scholarships, students must submit an application form along with supporting documents such as income certificates, caste certificates, and academic transcripts. Applications are reviewed by a dedicated committee that evaluates eligibility and merit.

Payment Procedures & Refund Policy

Payment Deadlines

All fees must be paid within the specified deadlines to avoid late penalties or loss of enrollment privileges. The university provides multiple payment options including online banking, debit/credit cards, and NEFT transfers.

Late Fee Calculations

A late fee of ₹1000 per day is applicable for delayed payments beyond the due date. However, students facing genuine financial hardships can request a waiver or installment plan upon submission of supporting documents.

Refund Rules

If a student withdraws from the university before completing the academic year, refunds are processed based on the following rules:

  • Withdrawal within 15 days: Full refund of all fees minus administrative charges.
  • Withdrawal between 16-30 days: Refund of 80% of tuition fee and hostel rent, with no refund for mess or other charges.
  • Withdrawal after 30 days: No refund is granted except in exceptional circumstances reviewed by the university administration.
